I’m a 36 year-old who wrote a blog about how to make Wellington a better place to live, under the title ‘Conor Hill for Mayor’. People started taking the title seriously, so I did too. I’ve had a grab bag of different experience, from working in project management offices, to leading teams, to picking apples, to teaching English, to working in the Australian outback. Every job has taught me something and I will be bringing that range of life experience to the mayoral office.
I believe we can make Wellington an even better city. We can have far better transport options, affordable housing and vibrant community facilities. The steps to make Wellington the best it can be will also contribute to fixing our local housing crisis and the global climate change crisis. Check out my policy page to see how we can make Wellington better.
I live in Wadestown with my partner, and my spin doctor, Leo the cat. I first shifted to Wellington in 2001.
